Bus Service to Jackson?
This is an interesting article...it indicates that on April 1st bus service started from Salt Lake to Jackson. A one-way ticket is $70. What Cokeville Blog found most interesting is that it lists Cokeville as one of the stops along the way. Anyone have information? Where it stops? Can you get on in Cokeville? Is there a different rate if someone wants on from Cokeville to Jackson, or the reverse of Cokeville to Salt Lake?
Cokeville Blog will do some investigating.
The sight for the service provide is www.jacksonholealltrans.com

Yes it's true - we're not part of the million...
It's true - Disney's Give a Day - Get a Day program is already over. And it's still March. For those that don't know, for qualified organizations could have volunteers donate a day and then receive a free ticket to Disney Land or Disney World. Cokeville Miracle Foundation had talked of pairing with the Centennial Committee to give people of Cokeville a chance to participate in this program. We were going to start in April. So, we are not able to be part of the "million volunteers" goal (although the program never stated the amount of tickets they would be giving away.)
However, volunteers are still needed! If you would like to participate in a Centennial event contact Charlotte or Carol. If you would like to participate in the Cokeville Miracle Foundation, contact Karla, Susan, Chemene or Bill.
Thanks Cokeville!

Funeral for Adeline Freeman Johnson
The following email was sent by Charlotte Freeman, daughter-in-law of Adeline. She gave permission for cokeville.blogspot.com to post the email, along with an addition of the viewing times in Montpelier.
Dear Ones,
I am sad to write and announce the passing of Norman's mother, Adeline Freeman-Johnson on Wednesday, March 17th at the Bear Lake Skilled Nursing Center in Montpelier, ID.
Viewing will Sunday, March 21, from 6-8 pm at Matthews Mortuary and in Cokeville at the LDS Church a viewing will be Monday, March 22nd from 10am-11:45am in the Cokeville LDS Relief Society Room. The funeral will commence at 12 noon. Immediately following the funeral service, internment will take place at the Cokeville cemetery. Lunch will be served at the church for friends, family and those from out of town. Please advise me if you will, so that I can tell the Relief Society President how many to prepare lunch for.
Matthews Mortuary is caring for mom.
Norman is doing very well at this time. Mom had been 'shutting down' for the past week. She was in no pain and was kept completely comfortable. Her passing is not so sad for us, knowing how many loved ones were waiting to welcome her. I will miss my visits to her; but have many pleasant memories of these past 6 years together.
If you have any questions, my number is 801-510-5100 (C) or 307-279-3306 (home).
Love to all,
Charlotte PS Forgive me if I duplicated your name...it was not on purpose...
.
Adeline's Obituary can be read at the Kemmerer Gazette online by clicking here.

Cokeville Register
Keep your eyes out for the Cokeville Register. The first issue, complete with a last minute breaking news insert, will be distributed today. You'll notice we had some technical difficulties during printing, but a few corrected issues are floating around too. This is still a learning process for those of us involved in getting this issue out, and we will continue to make progress and improvements. The Register will be published monthly, on the first Monday after the First Wednesday. Sounds complicated, but this will allow us to include the most recent updates from the Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Steering Committee, which meet on the first Wednesday of each month.
If you would like a digital copy of the newspaper emailed to you, send requests to smgailey@aol.com. Items for the community calendar can be sent to the same address. If you would like to advertise in a future issue, please contact Harry Staven at the town hall for advertising rates. Classified ads can be purchased for as little as $5. Deadline for submissions for our next issue is April 1.

Newspaper coming to Cokeville
Cokeville has been without a newspaper for too long! We are currently working on fixing that! But we need your help.
We are including a community calendar, and don't want to leave any events out. This will be a monthly publication, and we are currently working on a March issue. If you are aware of any meetings, events, etc in March, please include them in the comments here, or email them to smgailey@aol.com. I would rather have ten people tell me about one event, than to have no one tell me and have it left off of the calender.
Also, contact me (Shelly Gailey) if you would like to put a classified ad in the paper, or have other information that you think should be included in this issue. All submissions for the March issue need to be to me by Monday, February 22nd.

Cokeville Tree Board - Organizational Meeting Held
The following email was received from Dan Richardson of the Cokeville Tree Board and is posted on Cokeville blogspot as it was received:
The Cokeville Tree Board held its organizational meeting on February 10th and elected Dan Richardson to serve as the Chairman, Mary Lue Birch, Secretary and Andrea Halls, Treasurer. Other board members include Brenda Lazcanotegui and DeMont B. Grandy.
Having a Tree Board qualifies Cokeville to apply for private, state, and federal funding for purchasing, planting, and caring for trees and shrubs in our town. The Tree Board’s primary duty is to advise the Cokeville Town Council on issues regarding trees and shrubs; however the Tree Board is eager to be a resource for the citizens of Cokeville as well.
Chairman Richardson noted that the Tree Board will need to get off to a quick start because Arbor Day – April 26th – is quickly approaching, and the Tree Board needs to plan and coordinate this event. The members agreed to hold monthly meetings on the second Wednesday of each month starting with March. All Tree Board meetings are open to public and are held at the Town Hall conference room starting at 7 p.m.
For further information, please contact Dan Richardson by email at richardsondan@yahoo.com or by calling 801-897-9657.
