Wyoming Newspaper Project Presentation and Training

The Wyoming State Librarian, Lesley Boughton, and the Wyoming State Librarian Digital Information Specialist, Erin Kinney, were in town on Thursday and Friday to present the "Wyoming Newspaper Project" to our town. The event was co-hosted by the Cokeville Miracle Foundation and the Cokeville Historical Society.

We had a huge turnout at the presentation which was held during the "Cokeville Historical Society" Meeting on August 14th at 1pm at the Town Hall. Thanks everyone for coming to our meeting! :)

We had four trainings over the two days. Thanks to the Cokeville High School for making the computer lab available for us to use. Thanks to Principal Keith Harris, Computer Tech Brian Toomer and to Darren Moody for the awesome signs so no one got lost!! (Hopefully Lesley and Erin had a good time visiting the LDS Church and the Minerva Teichert Art work there as well as meeting local artists at the Cottonwood Ranch on Thursday evening! ) We enjoyed the ladies and appreciate the new friendships we made with you!

The WSL was able to train what they refer to as "The Original 48". (I guess I make 49, but the original 48 sounds cooler).

We hope that more funding becomes available so that others who wish to help with this project, and work part-time from home, will be able to get on board!
